so my internets has been dead for about a week, which sucked at first, but then got really refreshing. I think ive started to realize how much time is often wasted, searching online for random crap and getting distracted.
I took this pic on the fourth of july, when i saw the fireworks on this farm in town.. This is one of the barns. Speaking of, the garden is getting really lush, and i've been enjoying lettuce every day that i pick myself. I'm kinda sad to be going back to the midwest soon...
This is such a great photo. I need to cover it up more often.
I'm about to go to this place for dinner that was featured on 'Diners, drive-ins and dives'. Should be either the best meal ever, or i will feel sick for the rest of the night. it'll be worth it just to say that ive eaten at the same place as Guy.
mmmmm, just had a whole bunch of wine at my neighbor's house...
i'm in a great mood listening to cheesy top 40 girly songs. i made a mixed cd of breakup songs for my friend who is feeling down after his bf dumped him recently. it's actually a really good mix. im proud of my girly skills.
so there is only 2 weeks left of work before i go to DC, then vacation, then back to school.
im getting psyched because i miss everyone so much, and im also starting to hate my job.
This is from a while ago, but i still love it. I would say the boys are cute, but i bet they are something like 16, which would make me totally creepy. I still have this dreamy vision of wearing white dresses all summer.
The weather has finally been amazing on a regular basis, so i've been taking advantage by going to the beach, riding on the back of my sister's vespa, and eating dinner outside every night. Even went to a minor league baseball game, which was a trip and a half. Go Bluefish!
so, I know M will prob. make fun of me, but i've been seriously contemplating these boots. What I love about them (besides how awesomely 90's they are), is that I would be able to wear them with tiny mini-dresses now, and then into the shitty mid-west winter with skinny jeans. Then again, maybe the print is just too dam much. Hmmmmm...
In other news, I got a shot at the dr., and being afraid of needles, decided to take myself shopping after as a consolation. I picked up amazing shoes (to be seen here later), hat for the winter, and a flimsy t-shirt (almost sheer).
Last night the dad and i went out for the best french dinner ever. I wish i took pictures.
Brilliant advertising. RIP biggie Yea.. i bought the cosmo, no shame forever21 dress, sister's blazer, j.crew sandals the guy at the bakery was asking us if we went to the club. I bought a cheese croissant So what to do after a bar crawl on the upper east side at 1:30am? run around grand central, buy trashy magazines, and act a fool. Good night
this pic from http://www.garancedore.fr/ has been one of my favorite for a while. This girl's skin is so amazing. I also love her disheveled put-togetherness. Sienna Miller being a hot mess. I love it.
Ideally, I would never wear any makeup, and look this fun.
Haircut today, bikini shopping (oh god), and pizza with mom <3
ESMOD International Fashion School, graduating class 2009 runway show, Jakarta. -Covered event for Jakarta Globe
I haven't posted in quite a while. I guess I've been so distracted with work, trying new food and pursuing idle summer flings. There's so much truth in cliches; why are boys only attracted to hot, smiley, giggly girls? Maybe I should try it out? Be rid of the pessimism, cynicism, ambition, small chat. I'm sure it'll be totally worth it, these boys are soooososooo dreamy.
M outfit, Ye Olde Toppe Shoppe, gladiator heels (are these still in??) My friend here, Naia is quite the entrepreneur. She made the dress she's wearing and sells them in boutiques. Sorry, only available in Jakarta. Dresses like hers are really popular in Jakarta because of its tropical feel and zero cleavage action. Her dress is shorter than most though. ; -/ --->>>>The past couple nights have been so chill. Sneaking mixed cocktails into overpriced bars, getting stuck in a monsoon-esque storm while bar crawling, crashing a traditional Indonesian wedding and ending the night at a chill bar called Melly's. -Weekend was awesome, no fireworks and slaw though.
Every fourth of July, my sisters and I eat lots of watermelon and sit down to watch the American classic Pollyanna. Although there isn't necessarily anything pertaining to the 4th in this movie, there is a sick country carnival at the end, with bunting and lots of american flags (and good morals too!)
Going to see fireworks at my own small town venue. Should be awesome.
